Custom design, remodelling, repairs and valuations in Knysna
Everything we sell starts or ends at our own bench. Here is what our Knysna workshop can do for you.
Custom design
Tell us what you have in mind — a ring, a pendant, a stone you have carried home from somewhere. We draw it with you, quote it, and make it in our workshop. Consultations at either shop. Most custom pieces take two to four weeks from the approved design.
A custom piece needs a deposit before we start. Because it is made to your design, the deposit is non-refundable once work begins. Quotes are valid for 14 days.
Remodelling
Old or inherited jewellery you no longer wear can be redesigned: we reuse the stones, and where it makes sense the metal, in a new piece.
Repairs and resizing
Ring resizing, re-tipping claws, chain repairs and resetting stones, done in our Woodmill Lane workshop. Bring the piece to Knysna Manufacturing Jewellers.
We may ask for a deposit. Please collect within six months of our call to say it is ready.
Valuations for insurance
A written valuation of your piece's replacement value, by our gemmologist. We recommend a new valuation every two to three years.
